Hi,

I'm currently looking at buying a Raspberry Pi 2 for my boyfriend as he is a keen programmer and it's a great present idea. I'm just a bit stuck as to what kit I should buy. What does he really need to start?

Any of our setup kits would do the job :)

Depending on what he already has laying around the house you may only need the Starter Kit.

If he needs some ideas for projects you could look at the Hacker Kit, but if he already has a good understanding of electronics and programming, it might be a little basic for him.

Okay, so he built his own computer, will he need another keyboard and mouse for the Raspberry Pi?

Yeah, he will probably need a keyboard if he doesn't already have a spare.

He could use he's existing one, but it would be annoying having to unplug it from the PC to the Raspberry Pi, and vice versa.
