Hi all,

New to the forum and new to the RPI world and loving it so far :)

I recently put together a CCTV Security Camera with the PI3 and it is working quite well, however the only issue I have is that at night time i cant see anything .. So am wondering if anyone else on here has done something similar and if so what type of module did you use ... I see this one online "Raspberry Pi 3 Camera Module 1080p 5MP Night Vision Camera + 2 Pcs IR Sensor LED Light" but not sure how well it would work.

Cheers

We sell a few different night vision cameras which work very well:

We also sell a night vision case bundle that includes a motion sensor (please note that the IR-CUT camera is not compatible):

The Raspberry Pi Camera Board - Night Vision & Fisheye 160° Lens looks decent .... Any idea if it would fit in the likes of the camera housing attached

I guess the PIR Night Vision Camera Box is not waterproof?

Yeah unfortunately the camera box isn't waterproof.

You'll probably have to bodge something together to mount the camera inside that case. As you can see from the product pictures there are 4 mounting holes (which are used to attached the IR LEDs) but these can be used to mount the camera.
