The PiBrella is designed to plug directly onto the GPIO of the Raspberry Pi, so no cable is required.

The PiBrella uses the original Pi's GPIO layout, 26 pin, so connecting it to the latest RPi3, which has a 40 pin GPIO layout, isn't quite straight forward.

We don't sell 40pin to 26 pin cables, so you'd have to look at making one yourself.

You would need a 40pin female socket, to connect to the pi - https://www.modmypi.com/raspberry-pi/gp ... ctor-black

Some ribbon cable - https://www.modmypi.com/raspberry-pi/gp ... --1-7-grey

Then a 26pin male socket, to connect to the PiBrella - https://www.modmypi.com/raspberry-pi/gp ... ector-male

If you do go down that route, make sure you triple check the orientation of the sockets.

Thank you

I wanted to have the cable so the case and Pi itself protected more from the numerous other subject classes that come to the room - and things go missing so the PiBrella could be easily removed when they do come in whilst the Raspberr Pis in cases are more or less attached to PCs / wall / desk securely with Velcro etc.

Thanks - will look at the cabling option.
