Hello,

I purchased a BrickPi 3 as a Christmas present - order details below. NXT/EV3 sensors can't be connected to port 1 (S1) as the socket has the lug on the wrong side. The picture I've uploaded should make it obvious.

Order: #213752
Using Pi 3
Part: Dexter Brick Pi 3 MMP-0738

I'd like replacement but the current one is in use (as we did not need all the sensor ports straight away)
Can I get the new one first then send the old one back?

Clearly the replacement needs to be checked to see if it also has the same problem. Is this a faulty batch?

thanks

David Stevens

Hi,

I have contacted Dexter Industries about this as it appears it might be a faulty batch. We are currently out of stock, but once I hear back from DI i'll update you.

Dexter Industries have confirmed that some units have had the wrong ports installed.

We are unfortunately out of stock but do have more on order. They will however take 2-3 weeks to arrive. If you are happy to wait, then that's great, I will get a replacement shipped out as soon as they arrive. If not, then I will be happy to issue a refund for the unit.

Hi Dave,

Happy to wait. It's not a problem right now but be nice to resolve for when we need to use all 4 ports.

Thanks for letting me know

David

Hi Dave

The replacement has arrived, thanks. What do you want me to do with the other one?

No need to return the faulty one, either use the few ports available or just dispose of it.
