PiOT relay board not powering on RPI Zero W

Post by TomE98 » Fri Jul 06, 2018 5:31 pm

I ordered a RPI Zero Wireless with pre-soldered header as well as a PiOT relay board. I have attempted to assemble as per the instructions on the github. Unfortunately, when I turn on the pi I get no help at all from the board or any of the relays. The only difference between my configuration and that in the picture as the is that the header is soldered on the opposite side of the board (component facing side) so I wondered if this was the reason for my problems or whether I just sent a dodgy board?

Any help would be appreciated,

Yeah the header has to be soldered to the underside of the Pi otherwise Pin 1 on the Pi wont match Pin 1 on the Relay board.

You can still use the Pi Zero with the relay board, you will just need to either stack the relay board on top of the Pi Zero or use a ribbon cable. https://github.com/modmypi/PiOT-Relay-B ... stallation
