Pi Zero Wireless

Post by BMS Doug » Tue Feb 28, 2017 11:46 am

The latest Innovation, Raspberry Pi have added the an integrated WIFI and Bluetooth module to their minuscule Pi zero, similar to the one used on the Pi 3.

This has (obvioulsy) increased the cost above the baseline for the Pi zero but its still cheap.

Raspberry Pi zero with Wifi and bluetooth, available here!

Original Pi zero also available.

Once you get to 20 Zero W ?

Post by penny » Tue Jul 11, 2017 4:54 pm

Hi Dave - does that mean 20 and no more ever again ? We are currently using the Pi 3 for our Open Source boat security system - http://www.skippersmate.co.uk and are considering an even lower consumption version based on the Zero W. Many boating people don't have access to mains power much of the time so power consumption is a big issue.

What is driving the "standard" only one Zero policy ? Is it a shortage of supply ?

Does your 20 mean 20 individual orders over 20 days, each with shipping ? And what happens when one reaches the 20 limit ?

Concerned that we don't offer something and then find we can't supply.

Look forward to hearing from you. And thanks for the excellent service and deliveries we've had from you so far.

BTW - if I got my avatar right then one boxer greets another - her name is Asbo and she's nearly 6 but you wouldn't guess it !

Cheers

Hi Penny,

The limit on our pre-soldered version is 20 per order. If you are looking at placing multiple orders of 20, then you will need to contact our sales team. As, like you said the main reason for the initial 1 per customer limit is lack of supply.

Asbo meet Dexter :) He's nearly 3, surprisingly relaxed for a Boxer!

Many thanks Dave. That's a great help.

Not surprised Dexter is laid back - when they're not being so lively can be very restful !
