Raspberry PI overheating

Post by dejo0202 » Mon May 07, 2018 4:52 pm

My Raspberry Pi is over heating when I try to switch it on. It is overheating so much that it has started to melt the SD card. I barely managed to switch it off and take out the SD card. The PI has worked normally during the weekend and it has not been damaged physically or whatsoever. Please consider the fact that I am in the middle of a school project and that I need the PI to work as urgently as possible. I bought the PI on 25th October 2017 and the order number was 209678.

Did you see a thermometer icon when using Rasbian? - https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentati ... g-icons.md

If you did, then I suspect there's an issue with the Pi, if you didn't, then it's probably a faulty SD card.
