Raspberry Pi Zero W not turning on and overheating

Post by PedroDiogo » Fri Aug 10, 2018 6:52 pm

Hi,

I've purchased a RPi Zero W this week and the first time I turned it on it immediately got too hot and had to immediately unplug it.
If I try to plug it to my computer I get this message confirming this unit is pulling too much current:

This issue happens regardless of it having an SD Card or not.
I presume this is a faulty unit.

Can you please help me?

Order ID: 236925

Thanks.
Pedro

I'm really sorry about that! It does sound like there is a fault with the item.

I will have our sales team contact you to arrange a return for replacement.
