Pi stopped working

Post by ap1981 » Sat Dec 01, 2018 6:10 pm

Hi,

Had my Pi for a few days, tried installing Windows IoT afters Noobs seemed unhappy to do so. Could never get the Pi loading Windows IoT so followed the online instructions on flashing back to NOOBS. Pi seemed to start boot as monitor showed rainbow colours, but after 2 seconds screen went blank and I have not been able to get anything out of the Pi since -- and no activity light or ethernet lights.

I'm pretty sure it's a hardware issue as for the first 2 seconds it seemed to be a typical loading sequence until it went dead.

Since then I do not get any activity -- either from the activity light or from the attached screen.

I have also now followed the NOOBS re-install sequence listed on this website:
https://www.modmypi.com/blog/how-to-install-noobs

Please help.

Thanks,

Adam

Could you post your order ID please.

Do you have a different SD card you could try?

Hi

Order id is 245664.

I have now bought a second pi and the sd card and pi worked no problem. Put the sd back in the other pi and still as dead as a dodo.

Thanks.

Ok, sounds like the Pi is dead then. I will have sales contact you to arrange a return. Please confirm if you would like a refund or replacement?
