Anidees power supply low voltage detected

Post by asz » Tue Dec 04, 2018 12:41 am

I jut bought a raspberrypi 3/B+, an official touchscreen and a smartipi case. I bought the anidees pwer supply to power these, but I get the low voltage detected message with the flashing lightning. I don't have another power supply at the moment. The order id for the power supply was Order 246636, and for the pi Order 246997.

The anidees specifications promise 5v/3A which should be mre than enough for this setup. I tried using a separate power supply for the screen, but that didn't help.

We have had this issue before, and its because of the USB cable used to connect the power hub to the Pi.

We found a 20AWG 0.5m USB cable works perfectly fine. This one works nicely -

Longer cables and cables with higher AWG just cause too big of a voltage drop which the Pi doesn't like.
